SVIM

Sviluppo Marche S.p.A. (SVIM) is the Development Agency of Marche Region that is its company’s only shareholder. SVIM operates exclusively with Marche Region and plays an important role in the implementation of the regional development policies.
Its aim is to transform into regional projects both the objectives defined within the ROP (Regional Operative Programme) and the strategic lines deriving from consultation with all the regional and local stakeholders.
The model of territorial development promoted by European Union aims at supporting projects developed on a local basis through the cooperation of public and private bodies, in a bottom-up logic. In this scenario, SVIM is the Marche Region’s centre of competence to transform programs for local development into projects to obtain European financing.
SVIM thus represents a bridge between Marche Region and Europe. In fact, it operates in two directions:
•    Development and implementation of projects deriving from regional, national and European Funds;
•    Interventions on EU level which can produce impact at a local level.
In this sense, SVIM has recently established a bureau in Brussels, for giving support to Marche Region in search of funds/financing programmers suitable for the interests of its territory and for participating in European networks. SVIM has a long experience in the management of European projects also in the field of Lifelong Learning Programme: under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, it was granted in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Furthermore SVIM has participated in RDA-Net CEDA2 project, under Interreg  III B Cadses, aimed to train RDA’s staff. Last but not least starting from 2006, SVIM is giving assistance to Chiaravalle Municipality, for the MAESTRO project (including training activities for cultural operators), and to Marche Region for Net.Mate project (including training activities for social operators).

GAL Ogliastra

The Ogliastra Local Action Group (LAG) is a voluntary consortium representing the rural area of the Ogliastra province (Eastern part of Sardinia island, Italy). The LAG was created by 18 municipalities together with several associations and public bodies with the aim to plan, programme and manage the EU Leader resources on the territory of Ogliastra. With 35.000 inhabitants, a density of 21 inhabitants per squared km, a serious lack of infrastructures and a continuous phenomenon of depopulation, Ogliastra is a highly rural territory. Agriculture, protection of environment, animal husbandry and food industry are important economical sectors in the area. Tourism represents a peculiar opportunity for Ogliastra, with particular regard to the extension of the tourist season and to the enhancement of the tourist offer in the mountainous area. As an Agency for Rural Development, Ogliastra LAG has the responsibility to promote projects where the stakeholders and the economic players cooperate in the invention of market oriented solutions. In particular, trans-national cooperation represented by projects like “GREENN Sports” (sport tourism) and “Les Heritages du Vin, au sud” (wine tourism) seems to be the key to innovate and to adopt best practices. In this context, the managerial capacities of the Ogliastra LAG need to be improved and checked at European level.
